My thoughts on the silent film

Over the course of a few days we were assigned to do a silent movie. This came as a challenge to all of us because non of us have actually been in a silent film before. I use to think that silent movies were ridiculous because the actors were always over dramatic. That perspective changed when I had to direct a silent film. I knew nothing about being a director, I just figured that it would require a lot of hard work and I was ready for the task.

#ACTING
I think that everyone in the class did a really good job when they were acting in the silent film. I came up with an idea on what I wanted thought the film should be about and everyone added their aww ideas, making it an amazing film. I know that it must have been difficult for them to act without any scripts or stage directing but they pulled it off. Lexi did a really good job acting like a male character. Her facial expressions really showed that audience that she/he was a player and that he didn't care about any of the women.
Lindsay did a great job being the wife. Her facial expressions made you think that she was inlove with the man and also that she was pissed when she found out that he was cheating on her with the side chick. Speaking of side chick, good job Sam. Sam was great when it came to the part when she found out that she was "the other woman". With the way Sam approached that man I would not want to be in that situation.
And last but not least maddie. Maddie did a wonderful job in the silent film. She had one of the best facial expressions in the film. I was able to tell from the start that she was not very fond of the man and hated how many girls he was with. My favorite part was when Lexi/the man was trying to flirt with maddie/the flower person and maddie made the "ewwww... Back off, I'm not interested face."
They did a great job overall . I honestly enjoyed this experience
